Winter is fading into the background and spring is on our minds. This is the time we begin to seek outdoor activities that allow us to enjoy the welcomed sunshine and warm weather. This month, consider taking advantage of one or all of the awesome activities offered at your local state parks.

As the leaves regrow, the grass starts to sprout and the animals re-emerge from their hibernative winter state, consider taking a guided hike to reconnect with nature this spring. When evening approaches and the temperature drops, consider attending campfire. It will be the perfect way to end your day in nature.

Of course, each state offers different opportunities to enjoy the changing seasons. Other fun options are to visit a park that is showcasing ‘Shakespeare in the Park’, movies in the park and live music or even a Medieval Fair.

So find your local state park, take a peek at their event calendar and plan a day or two in March to enjoy the changing weather.
